Summer Nights at the Bandstand 2024

The Summer Nights at the Bandstand gigs will kick off on Tuesday, July 23rd with Gabrielle playing to an already almost sold out audience. Nostalgia is very much the theme of this year’s lineup as acts such as ‘Ocean Colour Scene’, ‘Echo and the Bunnymen’ and ‘Bananarama’ take to the stage. In this its 9th year, the ‘Bandstand’ events are a series of concerts that take place in the gorgeous surrounds of Kelvingrove Park, a short walk from the Embassy Apartments. Tickets are still available for certain dates but it’s down to limited availability for the more popular artists.

Those attending concerts should consider using public transport and note that the venue opens at 18:30hrs with some supporting acts to warm up the crowd. If you are staying at the Embassy Apartments, Glasgow we are only a 23 minute walk away door to door, or if you prefer, you can grab a taxi which only takes about 5 minutes, subject to traffic.

On August 9th and 10th due to popular demand Echo and the Bunnymen play both dates, and the closing night Saturday, August 10th, we see none other than Bananarama perform to the final audience of the series.
